No starter. No kneading. Just 4 ingredients for an easy, crusty homemade loaf. 🤯 INGREDIENTS • 678g bread flour • 565ml water • 13g yeast • 7g salt METHOD 1. Add the flour to a large bowl, then the salt, followed by the yeast. 2. Pour in the water and mix until a sticky dough forms. 3. Cover and leave to rise for 2 hours somewhere warm. I use the oven with only the oven light on. 4. After 2 hours, fold the dough over itself 3–4 times. 5. Cover and let it rest for another 30 minutes. 6. Place your cast-iron Dutch oven with the lid on into the oven and preheat at 220°C for 30 minutes. 7. Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven and place the dough inside. 8. Put the lid on and bake at 220°C for 30 minutes. 9. Remove the lid and bake for another 15 minutes, or until beautifully golden and crusty. 10. Allow to cool before slicing. 🍞✨ 🔥 OVEN NOTE: Every oven runs a little differently, so you may need to adjust the temperature slightly for your oven. Keep an eye on the crust during the final uncovered bake.
