I really hate it also because it feeds into the stereotype that men move on after their wives' death while women stay mourning for the rest of their lives. Dracula was one of the few representations of men only loving one woman in their life and they ruined it.....

To be honest, I don't care. He deserved to be happy, he was mourning his wife for over hundreds of years. The movie just showed that it was okay to move on and find love again instead of mourning and putting all your grief onto your child.
