Demisexual is Not in everyone's vocab. To the people who think demi is "a normal relationship or monogamous" Demisexuality means you don’t feel sexual attraction toward someone until an emotional connection is formed. Anyone can choose to have sex without emotional connection—that’s about behavior. But for demi people, the feeling of sexual attraction doesn’t show up just because someone is physically attractive. It only develops once there’s trust, closeness, or emotional intimacy. That’s the part people often misunderstand is it’s not about being “picky” or “slow,” it’s about how attraction works for us in the first place.

I'm probably a flavor of demi, but I generally put myself as pan since when I finally do emotionally activate gender simply isn't a consideration.

As a person that is also demi and single, I think the idea that you will actually have to invest time and effort to get laid is what puts them off 😅 at least from my experience. These apps make people so conditioned to hit it and quit mentality that to do more, seems too hard.
