High elves literally exist in the Alliance but they were too lazy to make two new races, to fit armor to new models, and wanted something flashy to get all the girlies to pay. Horde should've got some ugly monster like Ogres.

private servers made classless wow custom specs new raids and actually took risks so blizzard shut them down dropped 3 zones locked a ugly race behind a paywall and called it Classic+ 😭 imagine having billions and still getting cooked by private server devs

If they wanted to add elves I don't know why the fuck they didn't just go with Thalassian Elves and then give the player the choice to pick Horde (Blood Elves) or Alliance (High Elves). Since we're in a new continuity anyway, fiddle with the lore, make it work.

Nah bro all they did was see the success private servers were having and hit the nuke button on those so they could steal their ideas and put a twist on them with a monthly subscription attached I'm good, I'll never touch official wow again.
