But upside down means the rim of the mug (that touches your lips) is in contact with the shelf, and unless your shelves are completely pristine with no grime or dust, that’s gross

I put them upside down. But now that I think about it, your actually putting the part you put your mouth on, on the shelf so if your cupboard isn't super clean or you are constantly spraying it with cleaner that stuff is going onto your mouth. 🤔

Right way up. Because you need air flow. No air flow = mould and mildew and bacteria grows. It’s up for me 😅

My cupboards have doors, so not much dust gets in there. But I don’t clean the shelf regularly, and don’t want the rim where I put my lips on the shelf. Do you drink from your glass with your eyes closed? But those spiders on Australia, maybe there’s something to that!? 😳

If the cup isn't totally dry when you put it in the cupboard, the moisture can get trapped inside when you put it upside down causing mold & bacteria to grow, ew 🙄
