@mr.s.custom: How do you turn Han’s RX-7 into a pair of sneakers without simply putting a picture of the car on them? You break the car down. For these custom Jordan 1s and Dunk Lows, the RX-7 became the starting point for almost every detail we added to the shoes. The color palette comes directly from the car, while the racing graphics, lines, accents, and smaller elements were reinterpreted throughout the sneakers. We wanted to take the things that make Han’s RX-7 recognizable and translate them into the anatomy of the shoes. So instead of looking at the pair and seeing a car printed onto a sneaker, the idea is that you can look closer and start finding pieces of the RX-7 everywhere. The Jordan 1 and Dunk are obviously two completely different silhouettes, so each one has its own way of carrying those details — but the inspiration stays the same from beginning to end.
