After visiting Japan I can confirm whatever they’re doing is working. They live like a different breed of human. I had a huge culture shock coming back to the US. I’m grateful for the experience.

For Japan,yes it’s the right choice. Several parts could be implemented and would help students respect so many things. In America money, or lack there of, runs the show. Sad. Lack of self confidence, respect for all people, and value for all people, education and nature would make a huge difference.

I think they are absolutely on point. They're allowing children to be children while it's important. I've always respected the Japanese. I wish American children could be taught some of these same values. Unfortunately, we've become too lax regarding behavior in our schools.
