My current employer requires us to see a photo ID from any customer coming in for an order pickup. We sell a lot of high end product, and this rule is in place to prevent theft. My coworkers and I literally have a tally set up for how many people get their panties in a twist over us asking to see a little plastic card with their picture on it. I remember one woman get so angry with me because I wouldn’t hand over her order. She had shown me her debit card and a picture of a job ID she had on her phone. She had left her actual photo id at home IN ANOTHER STATE. My manager had to explain the policy to her three times and she still kept saying “I don’t know what you want me to do!”

side note guys, i had other bad interactions but i couldnt think of em off the top of my head sooo yeah! these are definitely not the worse but they definitely made me question peoples intelligence/common sense
