my ex reposted this. His mum told me i can’t date her son if i didn’t go on birth control. She didn’t tell me the side effects, didn’t even tell me to look them up knowing the side effects aren’t exactly great. And my ex hearing his mum telling me i can’t date him unless im on birth control, is his true self only hearing “i can finish inside her with no problems”. When i first got the injection, i got given a humongous piece of paper with all the side effects, how to manage it etc. He never once cared to understand how birth control changed my life badly. Instead he used it against me. He used it as a reason to argue with me, threaten to break up with me, and even got upset when i didn’t want to do anything sexual. Not because he thought “oh is she not attracted to me anymore?”, “does she not trust me anymore”. But because he just liked the sexual things in a relationship. I might seem dramatic, but i honestly think it’s selfish and outright horrible he’s reposted this knowing him and his own mother pushed me to go on birth control. And now one year and three months later (we broke up four months ago) i am too scared to get off the injection because of the complications that can come with it.
