@themichaelgriffiths: The easiest way to plant bulbs in a lawn 🌼 and the trick is to stop trying to be neat 🎲 Don't plant in rows. Rows look man-made. Take a handful of bulbs and gently toss them across the grass — where they land is where they go. Some will cluster, some will sit on their own. That's exactly how it happens in nature 🔪 Skip the bulb planter. They're fiddly in grass. Instead, cut a cross in the turf with a spade, push the spade in behind it and pull back — it opens a perfect pocket 🌱 Drop your bulbs in, release the spade, and press the turf back down with your foot That's it. No lines, no measuring, no kneeling about with a trowel 🌿 Two things worth knowing: daffodils, crocus and camassia are the reliable ones for grass — tulips rarely come back well. And once they've flowered, leave that area of grass uncut for about six weeks so the leaves can feed next year's flowers. Mow too soon and you'll get fewer every year. #gardentok

I’ve brought over a hundred tulips and want them in the grass but my grass grows so thick and fast it would drive me insane not being cut around them 😭

Planting bulbs in your lawn is the most ridiculous thing ever! If you are happy to let your lawn become overgrown then it’s fine. We inherited our garden with daffodil bulbs planted at the top of the lawn and obviously had to leave that lawn alone until the leaves have died down and it just didn’t look good!
