You can have company tax or CGT but NOT both!!! Too hard to run a business as it is now, your parents lived in a different time to now so not even remotely comparable.

Way back in the early days???…You didn’t think about ROI when you first start investing in property you hoped you would walk away with something? I invested in property in 1999 - 2000 not knowing a thing about property??..it was all hope! It was negative geared purely through equity investment only however by 2007 it had doubled!. Did I sell for Profit??..you Fkn bet I did!!!…did I buy more property?? You Fkn bet I did!…do I own property now? No…do I feel guilty for making a profit after all those years?? Fuk no!!!…do I support CPT…no I don’t….

Google made 1.2B in revenue in the last year and guess how much they paid in tax to NZ? $4.5m!! There are bigger issues over all and this needs to be fixed!!
