For those looking for the update- Mason Treat is okay. Mason had critical injuries, the officer was also seriously injured, but both are alive and well. The driver of the truck also survived and was charged.

This is why people should go into the other lane when they see a cop car, a truck or any emergency vehicle pulled over on the side of the road!! why people are still ignoring that rule is beyond me, it's the respect of the road, maybe it's an unspoken rule. I don't know, but it should be a flipn rule. It should be a law.

As a trucker I see ppl speeding past traffic stops and disabled vehicles ALL THE TIME. It always makes me nervous and to top it off legally you’re required to move over when you see emergency vehicles or disabled vehicles on the shoulder 🙄🤦🏽♀️
