The CLE 646’s advantage over the M4 CS isn’t just the extra power — it’s the whole mechanical package. 305-section fronts and 335-section rears on Cup 2 R give it substantially more tyre capacity than the M4 CS’s 275/285 setup, especially under sustained lateral load and braking. Add 646 PS, 850 Nm and much more aggressive aero/downforce, and the AMG should gain more and more as speed rises: stronger high-speed rotation support from the 305 fronts, better rear traction/thermal capacity from the 335s, and higher aero load in fast corners. The M4 CS is lighter and its AWD is superior for launch and low-speed exits, but the CLE is engineered around a much higher high-speed grip and power ceiling. On a fast circuit, that tyre + aero + power combination is where the AMG should really separate itself
