Realizing that Gremmy even existing is a feat in itself is insane. People don’t know how hard it would be to even bear the his shrift. Extreme self doubt? You’re dead. Intrusive thoughts? You’re dead. A vivid imagination? You accidentally killed your entire team. Ppl genuinely believe and imagine themselves as lower than others on a daily basis. Coming across someone like Kenpachi is practically a death sentence for anyone with V.

Gremmy lost because his power is quite LITERALLY his imagination, because gremmy started small, and watched kenpachi surpass the small things, he began to imagine that kenpachi could go even further, and he did. He imagined that kenpachi was stronger than him subconsciously and that’s how kenpachi won.
