I’ve asked myself this a thousand times already. I know very well that I don’t stand a chance. Alam kong malinaw ‘yun, that the odds aren’t on my side, that what I feel might never be felt in return. I’ve faced that truth over and over again. I know exactly what I’m risking, the possibility of being turned down, of feeling hurt, of walking away with nothing but this love I carry all by myself. And even knowing all of that I’m still taking the risk. Why? Because loving someone like this isn’t about whether there’s a chance. It’s not about getting something in return. It’s simply because this love is real so real, so deep, that keeping it hidden hurts more than any rejection ever could. ilh, truly and completely, and staying quiet about it became heavier than every fear I’ve ever had. I know I might not get the outcome I hope for. I know things might not go the way I want them to. But I’m ready to face whatever comes. I’m doing this because it’s the honest thing to do honest to the feelings inside, honest to myself. I don’t expect anything. I’m not holding on to false hope. I know I might be disappointed, I might get hurt, and I’ve accepted that already. Kung masaktan man ako, that’s okay. That’s part of taking the risk. It doesn’t make the love any less true or worth it. Handa akong tanggapin kung ano man ang magiging resulta. Whatever happens, I will respect it, I will accept it, and I will move forward knowing I was brave enough to speak up instead of letting fear keep me silent. At least I tried. At least I didn’t let this stay unsaid forever. That alone is enough for me. So yes I take the risk. I choose it fully, freely, and without regret. Alam kong wala akong chance, alam kong mahirap, alam na baka masaktan lang ako in the end. But I’d still choose this. I’d choose it all over again. Because loving her is worth every single bit of it. And that is why despite everything I am ready to take that risk...🥀
