@seersh99: There’s a kind of grief that comes with being a mother to a child who doesn’t speak, a grief that is difficult to explain because my son is here. He is the most beautiful boy, he is so so loved, and yet I mourn the things I always imagined motherhood would hold. I grieve hearing him say “Mommy,” telling me he loves me, hearing his little stories, and knowing what is going on inside his beautiful mind. I grieve the conversations we may never have and the moments I may never get to experience in the way I dreamed. But my grief does not mean I love him any less or that I see him as less than, actually I think the entire fucking world of him. I think he is magical. I love him exactly how God made him. I just wish the world could hear what I know is already there inside him.
