I’ve been to this exact spot in Iseltwald, Switzerland, and honestly, seeing that viral video was disappointing. When we visited, we also had to wait for our turn. In fact, there were even two Filipino families who got into an argument while waiting in line that day. I get it. Everyone wants that perfect photo, especially after traveling all the way to Switzerland. But everyone else is there for the same reason too. They waited, they paid, and they deserve to enjoy their moment without being rushed, mocked, or disrespected. Being a tourist doesn’t mean your time is more important than someone else’s. A little patience and respect can go a long way. We’re visitors in another country, and whether we like it or not, the way we behave can leave an impression of the country we come from.
