@plug24news: Pink Flamingo, Others Structures at Laboma Beach Demolished to Protect the Kpeshie Lagoon Buffer Zone According to authorities, these properties have been built in areas marked to serve as the buffer zone for the lagoon and today’s exercise is to mitigate flood risks. The exercise by the 48 Engineering Regiment of the Ghana Armed Forces follows similar ones, necessitated by the late June 2026 flooding that hit Accra. Lt. Col. Frank Osei Amponsah who briefed the media on site of the demolition exercise noted this will ease the flow of excess waters.
