Four years ago, he left without a single word, leaving me confused and hanging. Just recently, he messaged me on Messenger to apologize and say he hopes I'm doing well, I didn't reply. It turns out he recently started working at the same company as me, which is probably why he reached out in the first place. Since then, we’ve bumped into each other several times in the elevator and the pantry, but I’ve never once looked him in the eye. Now, I feel so confused. My old feelings are resurfacing, and I’m terrified that I’m starting to slide back into that dark place I swore I’d never return to.
