dont edit for views edit for yourself and as a hobby to keep you motivated because if views keep you editing all the time one flop can kill your motivation

i think the most important thing is not to be too hard on yourself!! if you have ideas, maybe start the simpler ones first and take your time either way🫂 but i totally get you, sometimes i don't even want to open my projects 😭

Whenever maybe even a little idea pops into ur head write it down straight away!! You can always start the edit later in the week and come back to the idea 💗

idk honestly I just find it really fun and meeting new people and becoming friends is so cute the more you post and get nice comments and support and the more you improve in editing, the more fun it gets. It also helps me cope with my personal problems bc editing takes my mind off things and really helps me think more creatively

if u have multiple ideas search a vid up with the sound/ edit inspo and save them, then u can start making them one by one that’s what i usually do

idk my motivation comes in stages😭 Now I'm motivated, after 10 minutes I give up because I can't find an audio, after half an hour I get ideas and I'm excited to do them. After another half hour or so I feel like giving up and then another vision comes to my mind and voilà😂

one of the most important things is: do not force yourself to edit or enforce the mindset that you have to stay consistent!! i edit to enjoy expressing my creativity :) just edit when you actually are excited to, don’t force yourself bc overtime that could make you not want to edit anymore (speaking from experience lmao)😭

A way to stay consistent is give yourself a gap between posts so for example I try and post every 2 days but if it feels like you NEED to post give yourself a bigger gap, editing is supposed to be fun and enjoyable it’s one of my favourite hobbies, try getting some moots that are editors because they will be your biggest supporters!!!

im not that consistent but sometimes when i feel unmotivated i just open the project even when i dont feel like editing. That most of the times get me in the flow. Also i just take it slow and work on the projects aslong as i need to because im not that creative to make them quicker (yet).

Meeting new friends is a big thing!! Also every time u edit u learn new things which motivates me to edit as u get better with time🫶🏼 and ofc if u hear a song u like the ideas pop up in ur head

just find a film/series you REALLY like and binge watch it then search edit audios for edits and imagine a character that would fit the audio. Personally that’s how i get ideas and also when i get ideas i get motivation because now i thought of it i REALLY want to make it real
