@sab.mercedes: There’s a specific kind of loneliness that can come with getting cancer as a young adult. Being the youngest person in the waiting room. Watching your friends move through milestones while your life looks completely different. Trying to plan a future while also having to think about things you never imagined would be part of your life. It can be easy to feel like you’re behind in life. But you’re not behind - your path just looks different now, and you deserve to give yourself grace for the ways cancer has changed it. If you’re an AYA cancer patient, know that you are not alone in this 🤍 #ayacancer #cancersurvivor #lifeaftercancer #youngadultcancer #healing
You aren’t alone beautiful 🫶 I’m here with you too no one understands this position I’m sorry you do 😞

I’m 60 but think I’m 30. I was diagnosed at age 38. And I’d prefer to befriend the younger population because I have more in common with you than people my age. Wishing you much success!

I’m not young 63 but I’m usually the most optimistic one in the waiting room I feel for the younger patients but I also want offer you something I was told when I was Dx 2024 You are so much more than your cancer. Be gentle with yourself, celebrate every small victory, and take each moment one step at a time. Even on the hardest days, remember that you are not alone—and there is still hope, strength, and life ahead. Keep going. ❤️
