We have had some incredible game drives, getting remarkably close to lions, leopards, and cheetahs in their natural environment. Today, I’m sharing a video of one particularly intense encounter. This powerful lion began roaring directly toward us. For a moment, it was certainly intimidating even a little scary. But this is where experience in the bush matters. I remained calm because I understood the lion’s behavior, knew our distance was safe, and trusted the experience of our professional safari driver. In the wilderness, we never take wildlife for granted. We respect the animals, maintain a safe distance, and allow them to behave naturally. What fascinated me most about this particular lion was his broken tooth. It was a small detail, but one that made this encounter even more memorable. Every animal has its own story, and sometimes the smallest details are what stay with you long after the game drive is over.
