If a pen cannot exist without someone designing and creating it, then this vast universe is not some tiny thing that could just appear on its own and then disappear on its own. And if you look at the human body from head to toe—our genes, our genome, our functions, everything—you can’t honestly expect reason to accept that all of this came into existence without a creator or without something bringing it into existence. And an ordinary person, like me for example, who can’t even live without water, food, or going to the bathroom, obviously cannot handle or control something like this. It would require a Supreme Power—One that does not depend on anything at all and is completely free from any need for these things. The sun rises at its appointed time, and the moon appears according to its phases. We’ve never seen a day suddenly come before it is supposed to, or night disappear randomly. We don’t see the full moon appearing on the wrong day and a half moon appearing on the day when the full moon should be there. We have so many examples. Look at the enormous sky above us, this vast Earth, and all the animals we see—even the tiny creatures that are so small we can barely see them, as well as the huge ones that are clearly visible. When you look at all of these things, if a person uses their reason, they will find signs pointing toward a Creator. There is also a saying attributed to Mola Ali: “You cannot argue with a fool.”
