I'm an American who's been longterm traveling for the past two years (eight countries so far). When the local citizens in other countries learn where I'm from, the first thing I'm asked, EVERY SINGLE TIME is what I think of trump and whether I support him or not (I don't). They begin deciding who I am based on my answers. It's very sad, even when they agree with me.

I look at some people and wonder who raised them? I was raised to reflect our family well. My mom raised me to be a good person. Either they were raised with hate and anger by their parents or their parents would be appalled and ashamed.

Once upon a time, if my candidate of choice didn't win I was disappointed but felt that things would be okay. That isn't the case anymore. I don't if it will be okay any time soon. And do the people who's candidate won honestly feel it is or will be okay, or are they just riding the high of the win as long as possible do they don't have to face the truth?
