I love this. When my grandmother was in school, she had two boys that were in love with her and wanted to date her. She ended up marrying one of them—my grandfather, and they had a wonderful marriage until he passed age 75. The other man from her school days heard about it, but waited 5 years to contact her out of respect for my grandfather. They reconnected, and he told her he'd waited his whole life for her. They got quite a few years together until he passed. My grandmother had two great love stories and it shows it's really never too late.

My grandparents were together for 60 years. When she passed my grandfather was devastated of course. A year or two later he was at a casino him, and my grandmother always went to. He had a two for one for the buffet and offered it to the lady sitting next to him. They were inseparable from 2010 until he passed last year. I am forever grateful for her. She took amazing care of him. They never got married, but in my families eyes she is another grandmother for us.
