@marfskitchengarden: Harvest time 💕 A beautiful September harvest from my little veg patch. This is my second year cultivating this 8mx1.5m veg bed on a community plot. It’s a reminder that a garden gets richer and more productive with time. This year I’ve harvested loads more than last, and next year I can already imagine many ways to fit in more. My veg patch is so alive, and I love seeing the creatures that live there as much as harvesting the food. So just a little plea from me, if you have a garden, don’t use pesticides on it. We need gardens to be a haven for wildlife and they are much more beautiful for it. The heat and dry has been a real challenge this year and some plants have definitely suffered but the beauty of growing variety and packing so much in, alongside a fair few weeds and various flowers, means there is always something to pick. What is the secret to growing food? Feed the soil, remember to water, grow variety and even when things don’t go to plan, don’t give up. Harvests await. #growfood #veggarden #harvest #london

I live in Scotland and we haven’t had the best summer, my tomatoes are still all green, not one has ripen, I even bought them a wee greenhouse [Crying] how are yours red?

I used to peel sweetcorn the way you did until I found out that if you cut the bottom stalk end off clean across, and then pull all the leaves downward towards the tip, all the leaves and stringy bits come off in one go! 😃

I love your podcast! Don't know where I've been (or, probably, what the algo's been up to) that I only just discovered it. But I'm so enjoying listening back through the eps. The topics and tone are both excellent!
