@americanveteranscenter: The series brought the story to the screen. Lieutenant Lynn “Buck” Compton lived it. More than 18 years ago at an American Veterans Center conference, Compton reflected on his firsthand experience during the assault at Brécourt Manor—and explained how the reality differed from its portrayal in *Band of Brothers*. We were honored to host Buck and several of the real-life Band of Brothers veterans before their passing. Their firsthand accounts preserve the truth behind the scenes and help ensure their legacy continues for future generations. This November 5–7, we will welcome actors from *Band of Brothers* to our Annual Veterans Conference in Washington, D.C., continuing the important connection between those who made history and those who helped bring their stories to the world.

I had the chance to meet him a few times great guy he signed my book. I have a nice picture of him and his daughter Tracy from Maj Winters memorial. Them and other 506 vets and families stayed at our hotel great people excepted me like family. George Luz Jr lives about 15 mins from me great guy.

Well west point uses it as the best training example against a fixed position. I think Buck was not in with winters on the planning and execution on this one
