i saw someone a while ago saying she was depressed and neurodivergent and gravitated to vampirism bc of thrill seeking and feeling like an outsider. now i can’t stop thinking about how she could’ve just gone to therapy instead of becoming frozen in time and separated from her friends and family

She had so much life to live… the cullens really ruined her life and the lives of the tribe. Jake is forever 16 stuck with the love of his life’s daughter as an imprint that he never wanted to have in the first place. He’s stuck as a wolf which he despised. This story is so sad if you really think about it. Now that I’m older I can’t imagine being 17 forever

IMO- Book Bella was extremely depressed which made her morality super weak and when Edward came along she just didn’t have the fight in her to resist him so she just fell into it and found comfort in the fact that he was “death” in a sense. She also liked that she didn’t really have to chose for herself since her whole life she was always taking care of herself and putting her mom over her. Edward became a sense of stability for her along with being an addiction. I think Bella seeing the cullens living their “perfect” lives while dead is another reason she was so influenced to become a vampire herself

When I was younger I was so mad she decided to stay 17 forever for Edward. Now that I'm older I'm still mad but this story is a literal nightmare from a older perspective.
