@jonesyslifestyle: Things I refuse to spend money on as a 21 year old who is good with money. PART ONE + my wealth tip for each 👇🏻 1. Adding extra items to my cart just to get free shipping. Spending $40 to “save” $10 is still spending more money. TIP: Ask a friend if they need anything so you can combine your orders. 2. Sales and new clothing drops. If I only want something because of hype or scarcity, I probably would not value it on its own. TIP: Mute ads and unfollow brands that tempt you to make impulse purchases. 3. Convenience purchases that reward laziness. Saving time is only valuable if I use that extra time wisely. TIP: Write down exactly how you will use the time you are saving before paying for convenience. 4. Cheap jewelry that I will eventually replace. I would rather save for quality pieces that I can wear for years. TIP: Create a sinking fund and save gradually for the piece you truly want. 5. Things that do not contribute to my main goals. I enjoy nice things, but not every purchase supports the future I am trying to build. TIP: Write down your five biggest goals, then separate the things you need from the things you simply want. 6. Expensive versions of things I do not genuinely value. Just because something looks nice or comes from a popular brand does not mean I need the premium version. TIP: Compare the features and functionality before paying extra for the brand or aesthetic. 7. Cheap versions of things I genuinely value. If I know I will use and appreciate something regularly, I would rather wait and buy the right version once. TIP: Set aside a percentage of your monthly income for the upgrades and experiences you value most. 8. Fast fashion and low quality clothing that only lasts a few washes. TIP: Slowly build your wardrobe with a few versatile, quality staple pieces. 9. Unnecessary interest charges, especially on lifestyle purchases. Debt should help fund growth, not consumption. TIP: If you need a payment plan to afford something unnecessary, add it to a future lifestyle upgrades list and revisit it when you reach your next income goal. $100 work jeans when they are being purchased to ruin. $25-30 wranglers for the win for the blue collar fellas.

Only one I don't get is the spending $40 to save 10?? If your total is 30 bucks and you can spend an extra 10 to get 10 off shipping... why wouldn't you? 😂

Doordash and uber are the two biggest money drainers. I think most people would save so much if they didn’t use them

Also add in, the constant need to have subscriptions and apps. Those monthly fees add up quietly in the background. Invest in real media or just simply pick a few good services you like and pay for those.

Good start young man. Here a tip for your "portfolio"....always pay yourself first. Every paycheck. Every week. Even if it's $20. Before you pay a single bill, eat a single meal, or spend a single dollar on anything else.
