Sara the concern is not now. the announcement of additional sanctions on all Iranian airlines and third party foreign service providers was September 8 with a 15 day wind down period which ends on September 23. That's what we're all concerned about. I land in Istanbul on October 6 and really hope I can catch Iran Air to Tehran that night otherwise I have to cross by land.

Yes they run but at what price?! I went in a month ago and had a Fly Kish flight on 2 days ago, which I bought for 25million toman (100 euros for a 2.5 / 3h flight > economy, very old airplane). 4 hours before the flight they called me saying the flight is canceled and if i was thereโs a taban flight an hour later that costs 75million toman. Bare in mind 25million is already over priced. I needed to think, given it was between me making it for my Turkish airline flight or changing my plan completely. So in an hour i said yes to the over over priced 75million, then they said oups, now it costs 85million!! 85million for a three hour flight?? Thatโs equivalent of 3-4 month salary of a master / phd in engineering social sciences who works in a governmental body or private sector, or a 35 year old specialised doctor. Are you f** kidding me? At the end i took another flight for the days after for 45million toman, and changed my turkish airlines with an extr3 cancellations and a lot of planning and spending 24 hours for a 6 hour long journey later, at the end my trip costed me 4 times the times i used to go with foreign airlines. The sanctions is one thing, the Iranian sharks sucking the blood of citizens is another.

I was at this airport, this is a great airport, but some of the airline planes are old because of the sanctions
