My mom had me late in life. She told me that she just wanted me to turn 12 because she reckoned I would not need her as much. She passed at 82 when I was 41. I knew my mom for exactly half my life. I loved my mom.

I had my daughter late in life… if I’m lucky enough to live to 85, my daughter will only be about 46 years old… crushes me to think that. That’s the same age I am right now and if my mom died right now I would be so lost.
