COVID showed hospital admin that it is “possible” to run clinics on a skeleton staff, so now they won’t hire the proper amount of people so they can have more money! It’s horrific

2 years in & if a patient tells me they won’t follow the fluid restrictions or take the pills to help them. Ok then sounds good to me. You don’t care? I don’t care 🤷🏽♀️

42 yr RN and you are correct. Nursing is in no way the way it was. I knew I was actually helping people back then. Didn’t have to think about losing my license constantly. It is almost impossible today for nurses to care for pts and adhere to corporate bs. Also, everything is blamed on us first, investigate later. Yet, nursing is not a profession? All the experienced folks are leaving. 😩

Grandma comes in with 3 stage 4 wounds wanting us to reposition and change dressings 3 times a shift, stating the hospital is letting grandma die.. okay but grandma was living with you when she got these but we don’t talk about that 🤷🏼♀️
