this is called dicyidian glass, which was banned in one of the WWs cause the soldiers wearing them stated (they saw demons aliens floating objects siting there) making them to go haywire and if not go rogue, they then banned this glass and the dye they were supposed to be used as a sort of night vision- extra vision goggles turning the men into super soldiers, well it backfired and to this day it is still banned only certain amount of ppl can actually remake the glass
