@wittierbelle: One of the “secrets to my locs” is WATER! 💦 💧🚿 It is my only source of moisture and it has proven to be very reliable for me. I do not use conditioners on my locs. • I wash my locs weekly and once in a blue moon I may push it to 2 weeks. After washing, I apply olive oil on my locs sparingly and that’s it, till my next wash day. • Sometimes, if I have to be outdoors during the hottest/ sunniest time of the day, I’d spray my locs with water just before stepping out. • At the beginning of my locs journey, I sprayed water on my locs often. Everyday 1-2 days I think 🤔, if I remember clearly. I had to stop to help my hair stop looking like a natural hair hairstyle and look more like locs. I called it my dry season, it last for about a month or so (if I recall properly). I also didn’t wash my hair weekly that period. And yeah i think it worked, cos soon after that my locs dropped. I just realised one day randomly that my locs had dropped 😅. I love to use locs jewelries though 😄😊. There just this unique vibe it gives 💕. • Also, I have always religiously worn a bonnet before placing my head on any surface.
