I have considered driving as a career but have no knowledge how to get into it, or if it's worth it. What applied to me is, I'm a grumpy, antisocial guy who likes the idea of just being left alone for the most part, and so driving seemed interesting to me. It seemed easy enough: go to point a, then b, maybe c, etc.

When I drove log truck, I could drive 12 hours. Because I was going home every night. Dead tired but going home.

I drove for 40 years plus. I, like most, feel all the rules are made to try to keep them in control of you. "The more laws you make, the more criminals you create." (Chinese saying) 90% plus of all accidents are caused by driver error, but THEY concentrate on equipment because it's easier to regulate. It's revenue enhancement techniques created by government agencies. Some people can drive 18 hrs more safely than others can drive 4. The government is known for generalizing EVERYTHING! 1 size does not fit all, but that's what the government does...
