My bookshelves are in front of my window and I want to do Roman shades in my bedroom. Would it look weird to have Short curtains that stopped above the bookshelves or should I let the curtains fall behind the bookshelves? Or should I just do Roman shades in both areas?

Ok I have a question because I handled my room shades but I haven’t done the rest of the house. I’m gonna do it little by little because $$ but - should my kitchen, dining room, living room shades match all throughout ? Or can I do diff shades in each space ?
