Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: At 2:42 a.m. on February 25, 2025, Officer Ahmed Elnakib from the Clifton Police Department rushed to a crash with injuries near Route 46 West and Route 21 South. Dispatch reported a wrong-way car on Route 46 West had slammed into another vehicle. Lieutenant Anderson joined Officers Fisher and Rojas at the scene. Officer Rojas reached the victim first. The man said his leg hurt bad. His 2007 Honda Accord showed clear damage from the 2016 Honda CR-V coming the wrong way. Paramedics later took him to the hospital. Officer Elnakib linked up with State Police right away. They got there first while on a nearby call. He then talked to the CR-V driver, Paola Velez. As they spoke, alcohol smell hit him hard. He saw clear signs she was impaired. Paola owned up to drinks at a Clifton bar that night. First responders checked her out. She turned down more medical help. So Officer Elnakib had her try field sobriety tests. She started with the Walk and Turn. Paola missed heel-to-toe steps. She wobbled too. Next came the One Leg Stand. She didn't lift her foot right. It dropped early. Last, she counted forward then backward. She botched that too. The crash, her admission, failed tests—all added up. Officer Elnakib arrested Paola for drunk driving. Officer Rojas patted her down. They put her in the patrol car. Anthony’s Towing hauled her vehicle for a 12-hour hold under John’s Law. Officer Rojas drove her to the Clifton Police station. There, they read her the standard statement for drivers. She first said yes to breath tests. But she fought the Alcotest process. Cops charged her with refusal. Once done, they let her go to a sober adult. He signed the liability warning for her. Court loomed ahead. Paola got these tickets: drunk driving, breath test refusal, reckless driving, careless driving, no documents, wrong way on one-way street, and drifting from lanes. 8:12 cue the horn section 9:20 foreshadowing lol 53:29 Can't say I blame her. The worst part of getting arrested for DUI is not the legal consequences. If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
