I've sat with this for 20 minutes like a picky child poking at a foreign dish painstakingly prepared by a gracious unknown host, wondering when the last time I truly indulged, what even was it? My mind wanders and wants, but faced with the opportunity to truly immerse, my mind twists the path to anywhere else. Imbibe or ingest my inclinations, they're never transcendental, I never leave myself and become something else entirely, not escape but making home in a new plane. Perhaps that's what I desire most and still shy away from it to dwell in the most hedonistic experience: the misery itself. Thanks for your time and words.
