And they charge double price for it.. example a chapli kabab costs 9 aed in the restaurant they charge 18 aed. 5 aed delivery and 2 aed service and the minimum order should be atleast 25

What online customers don’t understand is that they’re the ones paying the restaurant fees (recharged what they pay the aggregators) + delivery fee + small order fee + service fee. It’s become far more cost effective to pick up the order directly from the restaurant

On an order of AED35 (meal for one) restaurants gets charged upto 30% which is AED10.5 but every order costs normally between 12 to 15 depending on distance. The cost that goes in between us placing an order and it being delivered to our door step is massive. Theres the restaurant preparing the order, tech that’s finding you the fastest and the best rider, tech team that makes sure nothing breaks, care team that’s making sure everything is communicated when something goes wrong and rider that’s making sure the food is getting to you on time and at the right location. Food delivery is expensive and a privilege that we get to enjoy. let’s get down to the restaurant and support them offline if you feel otherwise
