What a good dog. I thought at first the guy wanted it off the bed "get down" just hit it, it took me a second to realize what happened. To know the owner didnt mean it and to do its job. Such a good dog.

I’m absolutely convinced that some service dogs fail out because they can’t speak the handler’s language. They’re 100% capable dogs. They just need to find their humans

My Malinois taught herself how to sense/detect my seizures from through the house and find me to alert the rest of my family to where I am and the fact that I’m having a seizure. She has saved my life several times now, her name is Cinnamon and, she was never meant to be my seizure alert dog let alone my dog. She saves me from dying by pushing my onto my back when I’m on my stomach so I don’t suffocate on my saliva that builds up and, once I’m on my back she jumps on top of me holding me down. Here’s the beautiful baby who taught herself to save my life and myself

had a lab that trained herself to alert when my mom's sugar would be high or rapidly rising. it took a few times for us to finally connect why she'd nudge my mom's arm. if my mom didn't get up and take care of it, my dog would come find me or my dad and not take no for an answer.... 🤷♀️some dogs just have a natural instinct

That’s how my sons seizure dog works. He rolls him over and then climbs on to provide backpressure to settle the seizure. Issue is he is a husky and no one can see a husky working that way. Service dogs don’t fit into a profile.

This is Durango. A Pyrenees. She’s a rescue I adopted for my dad ( combat Vietnam vet) I adopted her for a companion but she actually stepped in without training ! She has alerts when my dad’s oxygen is low. A day before my dad collapsed with a pulmonary embolism she paced all day and night. Ran to my mom when he collapsed from it. She is incredible! And before my dad… she was shot and was hit by a car in Louisiana. Was transported to a rescue in NY. She’s with my dad 24/7

I’m hard of hearing bordering on deaf. I have yet to feel like I need a service dog but 4 years ago I did adopt this abandoned pup someone left at the dumpster. I NEVER tried training her to do this but somehow she realized I was not reacting to things she hears and started signaling to me when someone knocked or an alarm went off, etc. She just stares intently at me until I catch on and go look. (This is a signal when we were in bed :) )
