Hey the issue wirh this is that yes it is the same game but only by name. The sample size is very small as it is only one game, and additionally haaland has been the number one goal scorer for Manchester city during its most dominant period against a relatively weak united team, whereas in the past Rooney played for a much stronger united team against a weak city game. This doesn’t make it any less impressive, in fact imo it makes it more impressive, but I feel like such a small sample size and the difference in period in which the data was collected could make the data a little bit less valuable. Then again, I have very little knowledge of how data works, so I’m probably wrong. I hope this adds something to the discussion
