My grandma used to have very long beautiful wavy hair. Past her hip, my grandfather was an abusive man. The first time he hit her, he grabbed her by her hair. She told herself, not anymore. She cut her hair in a pixie cut. He was so mad bc she now looked "like a man". Even though she stayed for some years. she eventually left him. But from the first time she opposed him. She did not let him make her small. Never again.
