I tried BetterHelp. In my forms, I filled out that I was Atheist and didn't want to speak to anyone who was religious. They matched me with a priest... TWICE.

I have been against betterhelp for SO LONG they are so predatory with their practices. I am always so disappointed to see larger YouTubers still promoting them.

Both times I used them, I stated I was Jewish and queer. Both times they matched me with Christian therapists thay tried to convert me and make me straight. One even told me I was going to hell.

I tried getting in to BetterHelp. I took the "placement test", then it pay walled me by saying for me to be paired with a therapist, I needed to pay $600. Nah.

Therapist here. I am not a therapist with better help, but interestingly enough my information was showing up on their website that I was a therapist for them. They stole my psychtoday profile and then they would bait and switch the clients telling them that I don’t have availability and would put them with someone else.

better help didn't help me because they said I was too depressed and needed to see someone in person. the whole reason I was trying them was because I COULDN'T FIND A THERAPIST IN PERSON.

Years ago my ext tried to see about Better Help for his mental health bc we couldn't afford therapists in our area and he didn't have insurance coverage. Well, when I asked him if he thought it was doable he told me EVEN WITH THEIR FINANCIAL AID we still couldn't afford them!

My mom was a therapist and the amount of lowball offers they were trying to send to get her to work for them….. literally only a terrible therapist would take their contracts anyway. 😭😭😭

I tried betterhelp for about a month. The advice I got boiled down to "if you don't want to feel bad about your adhd and forgetting things, then just be a man and do them".

I tried BetterHelp. My therapist literally went and picked up her kid during our session. I heard someone else say something about a pick-up line and when she wasn't muting herself, it was extremely obvious that she was in the car...
