@darklens_30: On December 23, 2010, at approximately 8:45 AM, 54-year-old senior supervisor Alan Catterall stepped inside a massive industrial kayak-molding oven at Pyranha Mouldings in Runcorn, Cheshire, England, to scrape away built-up melted plastic. Unaware anyone was inside, a fellow worker—who was engaged to Catterall’s daughter—re-engaged the power supply after fixing an initial fault. The moment the electricity was turned back on, the heavy oven doors automatically slammed shut and locked from the outside with metal pins. The machine was engineered without internal safety handles, emergency stop buttons, or internal release mechanisms, trapping Catterall as temperatures rapidly soared toward 280°C (536°F). His frantic attempts to break out using a metal crowbar were entirely drowned out by the deafening factory floor noise. Smoke pouring from the machine ten minutes later alerted workers to the horrific tragedy.
