@legitalgorithmswithpeter: Vibe Coding vs Real Software Engineering 🤖💻 The debate isn’t “AI writes bad code.” It’s that AI can write code that looks correct while violating the actual intent. LLMs predict plausible tokens — they don’t verify business logic, security, concurrency, or correctness. That creates risks like: 📦 Package hallucination → AI recommends packages that don’t exist. ☠️ Slopsquatting → Attackers register those names and publish malicious packages. And the senior vs junior gap matters. A senior engineer can spot a broken authorization check or race condition because they’ve seen similar failures before. A junior may not have that mental library yet — making AI confidence look like correctness. The same problem appears during debugging: if you didn’t design the code, you first have to reconstruct why it exists before figuring out why it broke. Vibe coding makes sense for prototypes and low-stakes tools. But production systems still need architecture, review, testing, and verification. And teams are increasingly using property-based testing and fuzzing to test generated code across huge input spaces. The real question: If AI writes the code juniors used to learn from, where does the next generation of senior engineers come from? 👀 #VibeCoding #AIProgramming #SoftwareEngineering #AIEngineering #DeveloperSkills

Outcomes based software development truly doesn’t need IT.

As a vibecoder, i believe the recent models write great code like a senior engineer, the one thing we need to develop is a decision making on each crucial steps. what we need is to create a detailed plan before prompting. This will decide a day or a months of prompting (well detailed very clear prd. involve here on each line like teck stacks, userflow, ui design and all 10 parts or more. never leave a single space for ai to guess) then cross check it with another ai. then guide ai agents like baby sitting and most processes are just repetition esp. bckend if u use supabase with mcp(auth, data storage, notification, permanent data and so) done with in 15.min configuration so i dont know what this dude is talking about. just if u are senior, use this amazing tool.that you your self developed. donr fight against. I like you since I failed to be real engineer, hope the next decade benefits you more🥰🥰🥰

I make ai check the code and I design my layout not ai, I test and then test again before I release, ai is a tool that’s it and it must be use as a tool you can’t let ai blindly hope ai made the code right because it won’t, you have to give it rules and boundaries that it must follow

THIS< is what I have been saying for the last two years!! AI acts as junior developer, we are not building the skills we will need in the future for senior designers.

I’ve been thinking about this and I think that when things stabilizes companies will have Junior write code manually while allowing senior to rely on LLMs in order for providing a path to seniority

You can utilize AI agents to perform QA against ADRs that you set. Data ownership, scopes etc can be easily tracked by a reasonable agent setup.

Because of AI, every developer now thinks they’re senior level developers - with just 2-3 years of actual experience. 😒

Ask your AI: DDD, TDD, gherkin. Ask it to take care of some senior principles such as SOLID, YAGNI etc and TOCTOU, pull-over-push, concurrency, idempotency etc. Basically ask it the best practices and put it in claude.md

You just run a second round during generated code to align with a specific development paradigm. You could even use agentic AI to help with QA. Programming is done forever. Vibe coding is here t stay.
