And the senior vs junior gap matters. A senior engineer can spot a broken authorization check or race condition because they’ve seen similar failures before. A junior may not have that mental library yet — making AI confidence look like correctness. The same problem appears during debugging: if you didn’t design the code, you first have to reconstruct why it exists before figuring out why it broke.
