The assumption that “everyone knows what they are doing” has destroyed so many friendships and relationships. There are habits I dropped and worked on because someone had the courage to point them out to me growth isn’t easy, and nobody is perfect. Calling people’s attention gives them chance to learn. How they reacts and behaves after being cautioned is what determines what happens next, cutting off shouldn’t be the first impulse it should always be the absolute last.

I feel targeted, being an overthinker has made me make decisions based on emotions without thinking things through or understanding from the perspective of others. Which I really need to work on. Cut off my best friend cause of this. I hope to talk things through.

Ok let me put this out here to know if I’m wrong for withdrawing. So I got talking with this dude it was nice at first calls almost all the time giving advices and pestering me to come visit after much hesitations I finally go to visit him, he knew I was coming he directed me to his shop where he was still attending to customers I endured no proper welcome treatment as person wey u invite for the first time. When he finally closed the shop we headed to his apartment and all he could offer me was an alcoholic drink which I kept siping and he kept telling me to go to his room to relax I refused stayed in the parlor he had to come join me there. Could u believe he will sneak inside his kitchen to eat then come back pretending like nothing was going on omo I laughed that very day at a point I got up and told him I was leaving he tried stopping me but omo my mind was made up. I came home after some months he asked me to visit I told him no and then the issue of me not coming again came up and I bluntly told him how he treated me the last time I came and this dude open his mouth to say that if I am hungry I should tell him then he will send me to go get things to cook omo I froze after heparin that. And yes it is an enough reason to block his ass. Some humans at 32 upwards are so mean and unbelievable

It sometimes worth it tho, we’re not babies and everyone should be accountable for their actions. You no fit gaslight me with this, people should cautious of their act too, think through before they act and think of the possible impact on the other person. Eye ball for eye ball, if you do me bad , I go do my own back oo. If you’re worth cutting off, I will!. Anything for my peace of mind!.

Communication is important, but it shouldn't be one person's responsibility. I've spent years trying to understand people, reaching out and making excuses for their silence. At some point, choosing yourself isn't ego or emotional retirement. If someone wants to talk things through, I'm willing to listen,but I'm no longer chasing people who have already chosen to walk away.

I’ve had a friend I’ve known all my life to the extent I can’t even call her my friend but my sister but she cut me off because of a man,someone I’d do anything to make her happy but I learnt the hard way she never saw me as her sister,tried several times to apologize and make things better but she’s not bending,I’m good,I wish her all the best in life
