I remember when I was a little girl, my mom and I went to this church after we left another church, and she went there until she passed away. My mom always paid her tithe, but when my mother got sick some of the people that were still living didn't come to my mother funeral. I am still working on trying to forgive them. God be patient with me, please.

I paid my moms to her church every month, she got sick and couldn’t attend church. She still had her tithes sent to her church, but when she was sick and in the hospital nobody came by to see her.

So, how is the church electricity going to be paid - heating in the winter, and AC in the summer, the hot water in the winter and all the other amenities that we enjoy. Can seeds and grain pay for this, unless the pastor and tither sells them and give the money to the church? Serious question.

The 10% Principle Existed Before the Law. Abraham gave a tenth to Melchizedek. Jacob paid 10% as well. The goal isn’t to find the minimum amount that gets God off your back. The goal is to develop a heart that says: “Everything I have belongs to God. How should I honor Him with what He’s given me?” There are far more people who will use what you say to justify their unjust actions of giving tithes and offerings than to see that it is holy. There is a law of sin and a law of God. Do you know the difference biblically? I am not asking that question to be arrogant or rude. I am genuinely asking it. Because there needs to be far more context here. What I can say is that the Pastor should have been willing to help the widow out. That was the right approach

This is my mother’s issue. She says she has to tithe but in a fixed income that means she can't afford her food, medicine, and other essentials. I tried explaining g this to her but she refuses to hear it.
