She could sing, she just wasn’t a powerhouse. Everybody can’t be Whitney Houston. She was a singer, dancer, model, actress, all around talent. Not to mention EVERYONE that knew her loved her. You could tell she was so sweet and funny as well. And obviously gorgeous🥰

She can sing but she struggles with powerful notes live. Also singing and dancing at the same time was a struggle too. She sounded better with a lower note. Had she lived longer, I'm sure she would have improved especially working with Whitney

People really be revealing they don’t understand vocal mechanics. Aaliyah literally had classical operatic training and could’ve taken her head voice up to opera levels if she wanted to. Instead, she chose to create her own lane mastering breathy, light-lyric tone control, crazy agility, and intricate vocal stacking that defined modern R&B. She didn’t need to shout or force heavy belts over a track to prove skill; her breath control while dancing full choreo live spoke for itself. True vocalists know the difference between loud and skilled. Class is in session 💅🏽✨
