I think you are over representing the differences between catholics and orthodox (from a catholic) we disagree on somethings but they are on the boundaries of each other, for example many orthodox believe in the immaculate conception, it is just not a dogma, transubstansion is just the process we say that transforms the bread into the body of Christ while orthodox say the same thing happens but call it a mystery, purgatory isn’t 100% overlapped but we both believe in the importance of praying for the dead and we would both say you don’t immediately go to heaven if you are saved after death. Even the filloque doesn’t divide us as much as some pretend. There are eastern churches in the Catholic Church that don’t say it and many scholars have said that we have the same understanding but we are just using different language. Orthodox are our separated brothers in Christ but they do follow small o orthodox Christianity in their everyday practices and receive the blessed sacraments and eat the true flesh of Jesus. This is sadly not the case for Protestantantism and so much Protestantism has gone so far away from orthodox Christianity it’s very sad. But I do think we must all pray for the unity of christs church ✝️☦️
