I think even if they make $30 a hour, after gas/wear and tear to vehicle. And having to pay their own health insurance, it’s realistically not even worth it at a certain point.

No. DoorDash should be paying us the delivery plus tips. Idk why we don’t get the delivery fee, I’m the one delivering it… 😭 but unfortunately that’s not the reality we live in, so tips are appreciated very much.

idk but I'm a driver and I don't agree with doordash that the customer should have to pay the driver fee that is on their bill. We don't get that $, that's a big reason why we aren't getting a good tip.

I Agreed before, but now my state and most states, for that matter, have no tax on tips up to 25000 which helped me tremendously this last tax season. So the more tips, the less taxes I pay; I’m all for it.

Well, I'm here to tell you that I've been told numerous times that. When you go into a mcdonald's and look at the menu, those prices are marked up thirty percent on doordash that's for every restaurant. So that is how DoorDash makes most of their money, but you are also correct about using the tip money as the base pay. But the only way you could truly find out is to ask the customer and to see their phone, and a lot of them don't want to do that, DoorDash is a scam. We all know that, and eventually they're either gonna close up shop or the government's going to step in. And make them pay us hourly. Wage so some information for you

When you apply for a job like that, you should tell the supervisor if you’re not working for tips alone, their whole business is based on you! I was gonna charge for tips. I’d make it a requirement that you get tipped or paid whatever the national price of Fuel is per mile.
